Bucket in a paragraph
Bucket is an iPhone symptom and trigger diary for people living with MCAS, POTS, EDS/HSD and migraine. Everything a person logs — food, fragrance, a late night, a long shift — adds to a “bucket” that drains over the following days, so they can see the load building over the days. Over time, Bucket looks for what tends to come before their symptoms, up to about three and a half days earlier, and writes a plain summary to take to appointments. The diary stays on the person’s phone and their own iCloud; its maker has no copy.
In one line
Bucket is an iPhone diary for MCAS, POTS, EDS/HSD and migraine that shows how small things add up and finds reactions that come days later.
Why it exists
Bucket is made by Chris, who has a connective tissue disorder and hypermobility. After Covid, Chris’s allergy symptoms worsened and migraines began to follow strong fragrance — often a day or two later, so the two were never connected. It took more than a year to connect the two; Chris is still working towards an MCAS diagnosis through the NHS.
Chris built Bucket to find the patterns and delayed reactions that were impossible to see alone, and to walk into appointments with a record instead of a memory. Chris’s note on the home page.
