The examples are things people often note, not a list of causes. This sheet records what you ate and how you felt; it isn't a diet, and it doesn't say what to eat or avoid.

Questions people ask

Is there a free MCAS food diary?

Yes. Bucket’s MCAS food diary is a free one-page PDF. Each row has room for what you ate or drank, whether it was leftovers and how old, what else was around it, and how you felt the same day, the next day and two or three days later. Print it, copy it and share it, with no sign-up.

Does the MCAS food diary tell me what to eat or avoid?

No. The diary is a blank form, not a diet or a low-histamine plan. It records what you ate and how you felt, for you and your clinician to look at together.

Can I note high-histamine foods in the diary?

Yes. You write down whatever you ate, including foods such as aged cheese and cured meat, and the leftovers column has room for how old they were. The sheet doesn’t score or rate anything.
